Objective 1: Know Your Role.
Decide which roles you and your team members will have today (see Roles Overview sheet). Fill out the form. Objective 2: Gather Supplies. Send your Supply Manager to get supplies. See Motors Challenge. Objective 3: Wire a Motor. Connect a motor to the battery to make it run. Objective 4: Turn on a Motor with an On/Off Switch. Put an On/Off switch in your circuit so the motor turns ON when the switch is ON. Objective 5: Make a Motor Run in Reverse. Wire your motor so it runs in the opposite direction. What happens to the flow of air? Objective 6: Weigh a Motor. Use to scale to figure out how much the motor weighs with and without the fan on. See Motors Challenge. Objective 7: Find the Best Combination. Run experiments to see what motor combination you should use on your ROV. See Motors Challenge. Objective 8: Analyze and Report. Prepare a report of your measurements that will help you on the Boss Level Challenge. |
